Hardware Agent

The Hardware Agent serves as a bridge, allowing OrderWire in the cloud to communicate with local printers and customer-facing displays. It is compatible with both Linux and Windows.

  • Access Control - The dashboard and API now require a device code and API key pairing to be used remotely; unauthorized requests are redirected to an “access denied” page, and the dashboard itself is also restricted to local access only.
  • Certificate Security - Root certificate key file is locked down with stricter permissions; setup stops if that fails.
  • Caller ID - Safer and easier setup with an auto-generated token, better buttons, and a cleaner look.
  • Uninstall Reliability - Shuts things down properly before uninstalling.

  • Serial Printer Fix - Fixed an issue where cached Serial printers would repeat the first receipt’s data on every subsequent print.
